We ordered from Banana leaf for a company lunch. About 50 people. It was very popular. The owner is very nice. Delivery was on time and he helped set everything up. Food was delicious, everyone loved it! Great portion and they even printed out the mine to make things easier. 10/10 would recommend!

Giving five stars to Banana Leaf, just isn't enough. This family ran restaurant should be the standard bearer for all family ran restaurant. Whenever the owner is there he always comes out and greets guests and I swear the man has never met a stranger. Now for what you really came here for, the food. The food is absolutely amazing I have been to Thai places around the country and this is by far the best. I would highly recommend the pineapple fried rice. However, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. If you like Thai tea then you won't want to miss the opportunity to bless your tongue with the Thai tea served here. Come for lunch time like we do and after being greeted with a smile and a friendly hello, you will be treated to a soup of the day (which all are outstanding) and then a side salad to get things started with a peanut dressing on top. So if you're in the area and you're looking for something good to eat. You won't go wrong choosing Banana Leaf. If you're not in the area, what are you waiting for, still go to Banana Leaf!!!

What is the difference between Thai fried rice and Chinese fried rice? +
Thai fried rice (Khao Pad) differs from Chinese fried rice in several key ways. Thai fried rice uses jasmine rice and is seasoned with fish sauce, Thai chili paste, and fresh basil, giving it a distinct aromatic, slightly sweet and spicy flavor. Chinese fried rice typically uses long-grain rice with soy sauce as the primary seasoning. Thai fried rice often includes lime juice and is served with fresh cucumber slices, while Chinese fried rice tends to be more savory and umami-forward. At Banana Leaf Thai, our Thai fried rice is made to order using authentic family recipes. Read our complete comparison guide.
Is Banana Leaf Thai BYOB? +
Yes! Banana Leaf Thai is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) restaurant. You can bring your favorite wine, beer, or spirits to enjoy with your meal at no corkage fee. This makes us one of the most affordable fine dining experiences in Dallas. Our authentic Thai curries, Pad Thai, and spicy stir-fries pair beautifully with Riesling, Gewürztraminer, craft beers, and Thai-inspired cocktails you mix yourself. Read our BYOB guide.
What are the differences between red, green, yellow, and Massaman curry? +
Thai curries vary in heat, ingredients, and flavor profile. Red curry uses dried red chilies and is moderately spicy with a rich, savory depth. Green curry uses fresh green chilies and Thai basil for a bright, herbal heat — often the spiciest. Yellow curry is the mildest, featuring turmeric, cumin, and a slightly sweet coconut flavor. Massaman curry blends Thai and Indian influences with cinnamon, cardamom, and roasted peanuts for a rich, nutty taste. At Banana Leaf Thai, all curries are made from scratch daily. Read our complete curry guide.
